With an award-winning restaurant, two tasting rooms, and a tradition of winemaking that spans more than a century, Wente Vineyards is definitely worth a visit. Their restaurant offers exceptional dining in a setting surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills. We especially like brunch here because of the lovely views of the vineyards. Executive Chef Kimball Jones makes his recipes available, along with wine suggestions. Both the Visitors Center and Estate Winery Tasting Room offer wine tasting and tours, as well as a variety of gourmet food products and unique gift ideas. Visit the winery, get one of their picnic baskets and eat in their picnic area.

California's first producer of varietal Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, Wente Vineyards also excels in the production of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Late Harvest Riesling. The Wente Livermore Valley vineyards are particularly well suited to growing the Bordeaux varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Cabernet Sauvignon. More than 50 consecutive vintages of outstanding Chardonnay have been produced from these vineyards as well.
