Extension to Livermore-Pleasanton Valley
As of 1997 the $517 million, fourteen mile BART extension to the Livermore-Pleasanton Valley is up and running. Stations in Castro Valley and Dublin/Pleasanton. Located in the median of I-580 at Redwood Road, the Castro Valley Station has a 1,100-space parking lot on the north side of the freeway. The Dublin/Pleasanton Station site, in the I-580 median , is adjacent to the Hacienda Business Park, and it has parking for 2,500 vehicles in lots flanking both sides of the freeway.
